The world can be an overwhelming place, full of great beauty, tremendous inspiration, and bottomless despair. Cheap Coffins, the creation of musician Troy Koglin, synthesises these emotions into a cohesive amalgam of music which straddles the boundaries of rage, aggression, beauty and complexity.
The project was born out of the desire to experience the joy of creativity, to tap into that mysterious source of inspiration, and to share with the world whatever flows through. This musical experimentation has led to the creation of a collection of music which is as epic and cathartic as it is interesting and thought-provoking.
On one hand, Cheap Coffins fuse heavy tribal drums with chugging guitar riffs, fast-paced beats over furious synths, and aggressive vocals over industrial noises. But on the other hand, shining vocals soar over grand chord progressions, layered harmonies dance over trap beats, and pristine layers of clean guitar weave through electronic drums.
Bringing experimental production and sound FX into the song-writing process, each song feels like a journey through a unique environment, immersing the listener in epic musical worlds designed to raise the hairs of the back of your neck, with exhilarating crescendos carrying you from one section to the next.
Cheap Coffins has created a collection of dark, thoughtful, hypnotic and engrossing musical experiences for you to get lost in, to navigate through, to hopefully create some resonance between the meaningful experiences of your life, and the soundtrack that has been offered to you to accompany them.

Dirt Factory are an Australian Industrial-Electro duo based in the cities of Brisbane & Melbourne.
After several years writing under the moniker, “Psycho Decay”, brothers Daniel Allen & Michael Gillman renamed to become Dirt Factory in 2017.
Relying predominantly on analogue hardware for Dirt Factory’s sound, Gillman has stated that he bought his first synth with the aim of creating eerie sound effects for sci-fi film scores.
With Allen’s healthily cynical lyrical subject matter frequently delving into the realms of dystopian science fiction, his vocals comfortably nest within the sci-fi inspired soundscape that the two create through file-swapping collaboration.
Dirt Factory have performed both as a duo and (due to covid-era interstate travel restrictions) with each member performing solo sets in venues across Australia, supporting artists such as Amelia Arsenic, Sirus, Hostile Architect & 11 Grams.

Disfigured Mistress is a Brisbane-based Industrial/Noise solo project, established in 2010.
Scathingly harsh, yet at times, beautiful in its unapologetic, honest rawness, DM's works draw the listener to a place that they always knew existed, but never dared to tread.
To date, Disfigured Mistress has been a studio project, but coming days will see a live experience brought to unsuspecting audiences. You've been warned.

HOSTILE ARCHITECT is a one man industrial army on the EBM/Electro-Industrial warpath. The project took its first steps in the beginning of the new normal circa 2020 and hasn’t slowed since, releasing a series of heavy and progressive singles culminating in the LP ‘LOWGRADELIFE’ released in September 2021 through US label Brutal Resonance Records.
After working on remixes for a number of projects - including Viral Records' own Dirt Factory - HOSTILE ARCHITECT took the lessons learnt and turned them towards a followup EP titled ‘::EX-LOG:: REMANUFACTURE ME’ released in 29th April 2022, bringing in influences from darkwave and synthwave music to round out the already diverse sound palette of H/A.

‘Killtoys’ are an Australian rock outfit, originating from Brisbane Australia
Their sound is versatile insofar as its sense of innovation; the grit, passion, and rhythm of classic and modern rock is prominent, echoing the spirit contained in the great Australian rock bands such as Midnight Oil, Spy versus Spy, and Magic Dirt. This is complemented by undertones of iconic British alt-rock - from the dirty licks inspired by Killing Joke, Sisters of Mercy to the rawness found in Radiohead’s, ‘Pablo Honey’ - which, together form the canvas upon which frontman, and guitarist, Mick Bristow brings an Iron Maiden-meets-Kaiser Chiefs lead vocal that is naturally punctuated by his native accent.
Having formed in 2019, the 3-piece group from Brisbane have been playing together in previous bands for a while, most notably The Pretty Fingers who released ten records and had their music aired nationally and internationally on radio stations big and small world wide as well as playing many great shows with major Australian, American and UK artists. Killtoys members are Singer/guitarist Mick Bristow, Stav Tsolakides Bass guitar and Bevan Bancroft on Drums.
Killtoys have five releases; Life Blood, Funerals, Come Alive, Nightfall and Sinking Like A Stone which are currently receiving airplay in Australia and the UK with more on the way. The band have performed shows with great Australian acts such as You Am I, The Superjesus, and created their own shows with some great independent bands as well.
Killtoys is a unique live act that sets out to create a compelling narrative for its audience with a cascading, yet energetic structure that ensures interest and drive throughout the set.

A Brisbane based experimental project blending elements of trip hop and metal into eerie, heavy, melancholic waves of sound.
With haunting, melodic vocals, experimental guitar soundscapes and dark, enigmatic basslines, shadowbox's unique, genre-defying sound is captivating from the outset.
The band's style can be likened to artists such as Portishead, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom and Radiohead. Its members come from a wide range of musical backgrounds, each bringing influences of heavy metal, jazz, alternative, experimental rock and even opera.
All these elements combined make shadowbox a must-hear, both on and off-stage.

The Grey is a collaboration between Mørġ Grey, former vocalist of 13 Stitches, and producer Oldman Wesalake.
The project draws from rap, metal, rock and industrial influences, combining slick, yet gritty instrumentals with lyrical themes that aren't afraid to wander out of the safe zone into into the darkest corners of the human mind.
As a graphic artist and filmmaker, Mørġ brings whimsically creepy visual elements into the mix, complimenting the music by engaging the sense of sight, making The Grey more than a band, but a multi-media work of deviant art.

ZCluster is the Melbourne and Sydney-based industrial/gothic offspring of vocalist Sai Lillith and electronic producer/guitarist INfest8.
Shortly after forming in late-2016, the duo independently released their debut EP Broken Things. Creating emotionally charged dark siren songs, the combination of INfest8’s dirty layered grooves and Lillith’s intense, seductive vocal performances, stage presence, gender fluidity and fetishistic overtones inevitably leave an unforgettable mark on audiences and listeners.
Delivering powerful, striking, and engaging live performances since their inception, ZCluster have carved out a string of shows through the clubs and venues of Sydney and Melbourne to consistent critical acclaim with fellow electronic/industrial acts including SHIV-R, Military Position, UBOA, Deader, Darkcell, Noveaux and SNVFF, as well as supporting international acts Peter Murphy on his 2018 Bauhaus Ruby Anniversary tour and Trepaneringsritualen (SWE) at the UMAC 2019 Festivals in Melbourne and Sydney.
With lyrical themes exploring sex, power and desire through the divine, the damned, the ugly and the beautiful, ZCluster continue their journey into the depths with their remix album This Place is An Echo (2019), their sophomore EP Down (2019) and 2022 album, The Rapture.
ZCluster was invited to play at Dark Mofo in 2020, but unfortunately the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in 2023, the duo were once again summoned to Hobart's cold shores to unleash their subversive delights upon Dark Mofo's audience.
INfest8’s production credits include Konqistador, Other, Sicktronic, The Birthday Massacre, Sara Noxx, Dream Disciples, Massivivid.
Sai Lillith’s past projects include Blatherskite (guitar, production, composition), The Abyss Collective (guitar, vocals, production, composition) and Annais Paris (keyboards, vocals).
